On July 18, 2008 Hawkensen Equipment Company, Inc. will be discontinuing its operations at the facility on Daniel Webster Highway in Meredith.

This decision was not made lightly. With current economic uncertainties and rising expense levels in all areas of business, the decision was made to consolidate operations at the Rumney facility and further expand that facility. All employees that are employed at the Meredith store have been offered positions in Rumney.

Hawkensen Equipment Company, Inc. is an outdoor power equipment supplier as well as a supplier of hard to find hardware items. The Rumney facility has recently added staff to the Service Department and is process of adding two more qualified technicians. This location does provide pick up and delivery service as well as “Ready to Mow” and other on customer location service functions.

The Rumney facility also incorporates the use of “toll free” call networks and the Internet to provide parts support for customers from all areas of New England to as far away as Alaska.
